今年の4月にデビューアルバムを発売した、ラッパーIggy AzeleaのFancy ft. Charli XCXが最高すぎる件について。
Iggy Azeleaは、オーストラリア発のラッパーで、その美しすぎる容姿からモデル事務所Wilhelmina Models International Inc. とも契約しているようですが、14歳からラッパーとして活躍する一方で、15歳で地元を出て旅行に出たUSにそのまま移住。現在はアメリカを拠点に活躍中。
の彼女ですが、世界を虜にした楽曲FancyではCharli XCXとコラボしており、さらにMVではUSに90年代にブームを起こしたラブコメ映画"Clueless"のオマージュをし、これが最高な仕上がりとなっています!!!
CLULESSといえば、元々は18世紀のイギリス人女性作家Jane Austenの代表作品の一つ"Emma"をモチーフに、現代風にアレンジしたラブコメで、イギリスの18世紀の女性ものへ、現代のアメリカからの回答ともいえる作品でした。
映画のあらすじはこんな感じです。
主人公は、弁護士の父親のもと金にも容姿にも十分すぎるほど恵まれ、学校でもファッションリーダー的存在。ダサいこと(=Cluless)が大嫌いな彼女がハマっているのは、知り合いを誰かとくっつけるキューピッド的役割を務めること。担任の先生と他の女の先生をくっつけたことにより、学校の成績もアップさせ、ダサい転校生タイを可愛く変身させたことによりご満悦だったが、タイはそのうち自分の人気をも奪い取り、運転免許にも落ちたあげく、好きになった男子はゲイだと判明したり、とシェールは人生最大の苦悩にぶち当たる...そして、もしかしたら一番ダサいのって自分？？？？と落ち込むシェールは...
90年代に登場した、デカデカの電話子機みたいな携帯電話を片手に、ベレー帽、色あせたジーンズと、90年代のファッション・流行を詰め込んだみたいな映画Cluelseeを、Iggyはちょっと現代風iPhoneやiPadを登場させ、アレンジしつつも、美しくプライド高いシェールを可愛く演じている姿に胸キュンです。
Iggyがにんまりと笑う瞬間、片方の広角だけあげる癖、最高に可愛いです♡♥♡
ちなみに、元ネタのClulessの映画では、主人公役のAlicia Silverstoneもこれ、やります笑
歌詞は割と過激ですが、そこも含めて、こんなビッチなシェールにときめかない人はいないのでは？
それにしても、このビデオ、本当に忠実に映画を再現しているので、一度でも映画を観たことがあるならば、あ、これはというシーンがひとつは見つかるはず！
さらにいえば、スクールガール風のCharli XCXも最高にカワイイ...
